I’ve been meaning to review some Juara Skincare stuff for the last little while when I was given some samples last year to try out. I’ve been on a bit of a skincare kick lately as my complexion has decided recently to go crazy on me. Not only have I been breaking out like a teenager again, my skin’s been reacting badly to my usual skincare routine, going all red and angry at me. It seems my old stand-bys aren’t cutting it at the moment.
One item I’ve found that my skin is not reacting to and actually improves the look of my skin is Juara’s Sweet Black Tea & Ginger Mattefying Moisturizer ($63.50 CAD). It’s oil-free which is essential because practically everything is breaking me out at the moment. And everything that doesn’t seems to make my skin look like oil slick and feel gross and heavy. Ew. However Juara’s Mattefying Moisturizer actually has a light consistency since it’s more a gel than a cream. It feels like nothing on my skin which I love. Plus, it’s actually matte enough that I don’t necessarily feel the need to powder my skin afterwards. Which is awesome because the more my skin breathes the better it is.
The other item I’m really liking is Juara’s Tamarind Tea Hydrating Toner ($37.00 CAD). I use it immediately after washing my face and it seems to help calm down the redness in my cheeks and chin. This is especially important for me since I mainly wear foundation or tinted moisturizer to hide the redness. Again, because my skin’s less red, I can wear less makeup and give my skin a real chance to breathe.
I find that using both the toner followed by the moisturizer has been a good routine for my skin. It doesn’t irritate and actually helps the skin situation.
